As in 350 cupcakes big! It was a bit of a challenge in my itty bitty kitchen but I’m glad I did it because they were a hit! Congrats to the happy couple!
This past weekend, I had the pleasure of making wedding cupcakes for a friend of mine and her new husband. Now, I was a little anxious about making these cupcakes because, although I’ve made cupcakes for a wedding before, this bride wasn’t going to have a huge wedding cake in addition to the cupcakes. There was a smaller cake topper but other than that, these cupcakes were it. Needless to say, I wanted them to be perfect.
Perfect blank canvasses to work on.
The final product
I truly loved how these turned out and if the comments I heard while I was setting up was any indication, the happy couple did too.
Like I said back in April, wedding season is upon us. The past few weeks, I’ve been busy working on some wedding treats for my cousin and his lovely new wife. They were pretty open to whatever idea I came up with and wanted the cookies to be a surprise. The only catch – that I stick within their colour scheme. Fine by me. Here’s what I created:
Bride and Groom cookies
Plenty of hearts for the big day…
…and of course, cupcakes are a must!
…and what better way to celebrate than cookies?
I’ve received a lot of requests lately for wedding themed treats which are always fun to make since I’m a huge girly girl and anything with loads of pink in it makes me happy.
Recently I was asked to make some cookies for a future bride to give to her bridesmaids. Honestly, is there a better way to ask your best girls to stand by your side on your big day?
